Writing about a journey: some ideas to help you. 

When did I go?
-last week / weekend / holidays / month / summer / Christmas, etc.

Where did I go?
- to the country.
- to a seaside resort (balneario)
- to another country.
- to a farmhouse.

 How did I get there?
-by coach / train / car

How long did the journey take?
- 5 hours
- 20 hours
- 1 day

Why did I go?
- I went to a birthday party / a wedding.
- I was on holiday.
- I went there for fun / to know the place / to visit a friend / to buy clothes, etc.

Who did I go with?
- with my family.
- with some friends.
- with my classmates.

What did I do during the journey?
- I listened to some music on my ipod.
- I read a very interesting book.
- I ate some sandwiches / fruit, etc.
- I had a chat with my best friend.
- I surfed the web on my laptop.
- I slept all the journey.
- I took some photographs.
- I sent some text messages.

Describe the place
(You can use adjectives! And sometimes you can use "is" and "are" because
the place is still there, it hasn't disappeared)

- The weather was beautiful and sunny.
- There were a lot of people / tourists / children, etc.
- The place is full of expensive restaurants and new hotels.
- There are a lot of modern cars in the streets.

What did I do there?
( Mention when you did different activities)

- In the morning / afternoon / evening / after lunch
- At .... o'clock...
- Then, ...
- After that, ...

(Include different, varied activities in the past)
- went / went back / saw / played / visited / ate / had / bought / took photos

Write about something INTERESTING that happened to you there.
( Perhaps you met somebody famous!)

Example:

Last weekend I went to Punta del Este with some classmates and two teachers. We went there by coach and the journey took three hours.
We went there to know the place and buy some clothes:
During the journey, we played games, I read an interesting book, we ate some sandwiches and some friends slept all the way.
We arrived at 11 o'clock in the morning and it was hot and sunny.
Punta del Este is huge and it was full of tourists. It is full of restaurants and hotels. There are many casinos.
I went to my room, I had a shower and then we went to the shopping centre. We bought some clothes, we had lunch and after lunch we went to the beach and we went back to the hotel at 8 o'clock in the evening. At 9 o'clock pm we went dancing.
On Sunday, we visited some shops, we bought presents and we took photos.
We were walking in the street when we saw Keanu Reeves!! He's a famous film star and he was very friendly. He signed some autographs!
We came back home late at night, after dinner. We were very tired!!
